You have landed in the Capital City of the United Planets of the Solar System in the year 3000: The last year of the 30^th century and the third muillenium. We are on the planet TERRA. Terra is a man-made world with an orbit between those of Earth and Mars. Terra City is the seat of government, law enforcement and culture of the United Planets of the Solar System. We are a free, proud republic consisting of all the inhabited bodies of the system and stand for Liberty and the Individual Rights of each and all, to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Any time such are violated, it is an aberration and not the norm. In turn, we expect from you lawful and civil conduct. Our laws are few but we observe and enforce them strictly. Your right to swing your fist ends just short of someone else's right to swing their own. Enjoy your time here.

TERRA CITY TRAVEL PLAZA
The ROCKET CITY Space Port at which you landed, is part of the Terra City Travel Plaza. Developed by ROCKET CITY Corp. This system of spece ports proved to be so effecient that they became the standard of measure for space ports all over.

Terra City has grown. We recently added a Civic Center, Library and Museum. All of these help celebrate the rich heritage of our spacefaring civilization. What was a city of 1.500,000 has boomed to a city of 4 million with a Greater Metropolitan Area of 6,000,000. Also, the old atmosphere "shells" and "locks" are being made obsoloete by bio-forming (well, you didn't expect me to say "terraforming"; did you? see James Oberg's New Earths from the 20^th Century) as we put the finishing touches on Terra. As the city grew and became more habitable, it became apparent that we would need a more gnerealized transport facility, Like the ancient city of Baltimore we created a Trave Plaza on the outskirts of the city and a Monorail hub downtown. This Plaza encompasses the Space Port, Airport and is the Terminal for the SuperChief Heavy Monorail Vehicle that serves Terra City, the Terra City Greater Metropolitan Area, Corryville and Carlysleton, the two new cities that are under construction.

You board the SuperChief here for the Downtown Light Rail Terminal and other points as well as to return here. Future plans call for it to reach the Anaheim-Azusa-Kookamonga* Region.
